Metacognition Class?

I've been reading A Study Skills Survival Guide for Neurodivergent Laarners, by Julia Childs. It's written for teenagers and talks about various neurological differences and how they can affect experiences and strategies for learning. What it's reminded me of is...

I'm a psychologist, and as an educator I'm in a uniquely qualified and effective space to talk about metacognition and learning strategies, especially for people with cognitive differences.

The research is unequivocal - learning how memory and cognition work improves test scores. Assuming these strategies can also be applied to real life, it would improve daily functioning (though I believe the research is still out on that one).

Would anyone be interesting in an age-appropriate class for learning how to learn?

This book is available through the Denver Library System, so put a hold on it and get it after I'm done 😂
